Antoine Mathieu CRIAERD ,( 1724-1787) master in 1747, Paris, museum examples

French 18th C. Louis XV small marquetry commode, with 3 drawers inlaid with tulipwood and kingwood. The bombé sides , the legs and the frame are inlaid with rosewood. The original marble brownish pink and blueish grey is veined in white ( Brèche de Bohème). The bronzes are important and very elegant. This is a truely charming and authentic dresser made by an important cabinet maker of the 18th century. signed A M Criaerd and mark JME  . France circa 1750
